Moanalua Middle School Needs Volunteers
On April 19, the Honolulu Advertiser profiled Moanalua Middle School. In addition to describing the school's innovative approach to using computer technology, the article also brought to light the school's need for more volunteers. School principal Caroline Wong notes: "Adults in this community need to connect with kids and tell kids, 'You're doing a good job, we believe in you, we know you can be successful.' Because it doesn't happen at the level that it should in our community. …. Whatever they're willing and able to do, we'll find a way to use them."
