City Council Approves Salt Lake Route
On February 22, the Honolulu City Council voted to change the routing of the mass transit system to include Salt Lake Boulevard. The Council's vote was in response to numerous phone calls, letters, and testimonies from area residents with the Neighborhood Board taking the initiative. This change means that more local residents will get to use the mass transit system.
Although a final vote needs to be taken next Tuesday, February 27, the issue appears to have been settled. Mayor Mufi Hanneman said: "I don't think that's going to change, so far as I'm concerned, it's pau."
